New clients for Orton Gillingham language based and math based tutoring
An initial 8 sessions will be booked and charged which will include our first lesson which is labeled as Diagnostic (see above) and 7 tutoring sessions. The Diagnostic session is approximately 75 minutes long and followed by 7 tutoring sessions (scheduled 2 sessions per week). This period is an introductory phase and also functions to allow for student and tutor to develop a working relationship built on trust and understanding.
Claiming my fees as a medical expense
Parents of students with dyslexia and other learning difficulties who have a doctor’s diagnosis can claim my fees in most instances under the Medical Expense Tax Credit (METC) of the Income Tax Form. I will provide you with a copy of my certification as an O-G tutor of CATT if you qualify for the claim. Please check with your accountant to see if you qualify. You can email the Learning Disabilities Association of Canada at Idactaac@fox.nstn.ca for more information.
